A couple of weeks ago I posted about rebranding an eLearning course. I thought it would be nice to follow up with an example of a course that we rebranded for a client. In this case, the client’s actual branding hadn’t changed. The eLearning course was old and quite dated looking. We’ve worked with Thinking Driver for several years maintaining their eLearning courses. We didn’t build their original Defensive Driving Fundamentals course. So, when they asked if we could “freshen” their courses, we jumped at the chance.
It all started when Thinking Driver’s learning system host told them that support for Flash-based courses was ending. Thinking Driver approached us for solutions. The existing Defensive Driving Fundamentals course used Articulate Storyline 1. It didn’t have the option for HTML5. Thinking Driver also knew it was time to update the look and feel. We worked with them to identify a solution to update the technology and complete a redesign. Thinking Driver welcomed the redesign.
How Did We Do It?
We used Articulate Storyline 360 to design a custom template and complete the redesign. We worked closely with Thinking Driver every step of the way to ensure the new course met their needs and those of their clients. Every slide in the course was rebuilt from the ground up and new interactivity was added to enhance learning. The new, modern template is both engaging and eye-pleasing. It’s also completely HTML5 compliant. An added bonus? The new course is responsive too – it looks great on desktops and tablets.
