Customized Procedural Documents We often work with clients on longer term commitments. These projects often include multiple different components like eLearning courses, job aids, or assisting with a learning management system. We also write customized procedural documents. The example below is of a custom procedure we wrote for a client. It details how to properly publish Articulate Storyline projects for an LMS. The document includes step-by-step instructions, screenshots for each step, and relevant notes to guide users. Documents like this can be really useful to keep internal teams or groups of contractors all on the same page. For one client we designed a series of about 20 procedures. Once ready, we uploaded them to a custom SharePoint space. Then we organized them into groups to form a knowledge base related to their LMS. Engaging eLearning module for BOABC

Challenge The BOABC needs an engaging eLearning module. It needs to give learners an overview of some of the changes to the BC Building Code. Solution We created a magazine-style module in Articulate Storyline 360. The module uses a table of contents so learners can navigate the “articles”. Some articles are a single spread. Other articles use the built-in navigation to move between pages. We chose real images and kept the text simple. This course introduced employees to the information governance policy for SharePoint through a series of questions and scenarios. Challenge Training on information governance was originally included with SharePoint training offered to employees via a series of full-day classroom sessions when SharePoint was first launched. Once the initial launch was complete, there was no need to continue offering full-day training throughout the province but new employees would still require governance training before being granted access to their workgroup’s SharePoint sites. Privacy Awareness Training

Scenario-based training designed to review key concepts of the company’s privacy policy. Challenge Create training that enabled the company’s privacy officer to significantly reduce travel and training time delivering privacy policy training to new and existing employee. Solution Developed an online course based on a series of privacy scenarios tailored to the company’s business. Various scenarios were used to highlight the most common privacy concerns for the highest risk employee groups. An acknowledgement at the end of the course fulfills a sign-off requirement and additional information and resources were made available throughout the course to answer specific questions or present additional scenarios. Manager talking points were also provided to enable managers to answer common questions with new employees after deployment. This solution cut down travel and training time for the privacy officer by over 80% and allowed them to focus on specific groups more closely rather than all employees.
